Per Vaage has a broad range of experience and ability in a variety of matters, representing a diverse client base, and has developedconsiderable experience with complex tort litigation, including professional liability actions, construction defect litigation, land use and zoning disputes, and property rights litigation. Attorney Vaage has acted as second chair in the successful defense of several medical malpractice cases tried to juries. In addition, Attorney Vaage is also solicitor to the Zoning Board of Review for the Town of Exeter, Rhode Island, and has been appointed as Special Assistant Solicitor to the Zoning Boards of Review of the Towns of Narragansett and Westerly.
While in law school, Per had the honor of interning with the Rhode Island Attorney General’s Prosecution Division as well as with the Honorable Magistrate Justice Jacob Hagopian of the Rhode Island Federal District Court.
Before joining Gidley, Sarli & Marusak in 2006, Per practiced law in Warwick, Rhode Island concentrating on residential and commercial real estate conveyancing and title. He is licensed to practice before all Rhode Island and Massachusetts State Courts, the United States District Court for the District of Rhode Island, the First Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
Attorney Vaage has been named a “Rising Star” by Super Lawyers for the years 2012 through 2014. He and his family make their home in the East Bay of Rhode Island. Aside from practicing law, Per serves his community as a member of the Board of Directors of a local non-profit early education institution. In addition, he has acted as a volunteer judge with the Roger Williams University Law School Moot Court Team as well as for area high school mock trial competitions.
